Description
This painting started out it’s life as a leftover matting from a museum frame shop that was a discard. I picked it up and thought it still had great potential, and started sketching out the kind of treehouse I wanted to run away to, to paint and knit and mix strange teas and commune with funny little creatures. The skulls on the fenceposts have been there forever; they give good advice, look after the potted herbs and glow in the dark. So do the little lanterns in the tree! There are tree fungus steps, but it’s so much easier to fly up with the broom. And the mat framing the painting has a few coppery touches here and there too. It’s a wonderful, restful place to stop and rest for just a while…
The dimensions are 13 and 3/4 by 20 inches.
