Description
Sometimes a yarn is so compelling I can’t keep my hands off it, and it needs knitting up. This scarf is warm, cosy and quite long, at about 7 feet–easily enough to wrap around your chilly throat a time or two. The yarn was spun up with a combination of Coopworth and Alpaca, with hints of sparkle and pinches here and there of mulberry silk. Then after some knitting and simple lacework, I added a picot edging with merino wool threaded through with silver. The result is a warm, snuggly scarf that will glitter in the sun but is soft enough to keep your tender throat away from those chilly breezes…
For care, handwash this scarf gently in cool water and gentle soap, and lay flat to dry.
